Description
Decorative ceramic pot created in the traditional style specific to the city of Bala in ancient Macedonia, with an elegant shape, durable and weather-resistant, can be used as such or as a flower pot.
The pot is handmade with 100% natural ingredients from the island of Kefalonia (Greece). The preparation and baking respects the ancient Greek traditions: clay and water are slowly kneaded, modeled, then traditionally fired in the fire for 14 hours at temperatures over 1000° C. After baking in the oven, the vessel is left to cool for another 14 hours , so that in the end it is filled with water and left like this for at least 24 hours. This whole process gives the pots a greater resistance to low and high temperatures. We recommend the use of lifting feet, if the vessel remains outside during the winter, to avoid stagnation and freezing of the water under the vessel.
The work done entirely by hand makes each item unique, color and dimensions may vary slightly. All measurements refer to the maximum overall dimensions of the product.
Unlike pots made of other materials, ceramic ones protect plants against sudden temperature changes, their walls ensuring gradual heat transfer. The porous clay retains the excess water from which the plant is fed when needed.
It has drainage holes.
